The Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) is a national leader in public safety, renowned for its full-scale operations, innovative policing strategies and commitment to excellence. Under the leadership of Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony, BSO has achieved numerous national and international accolades, positioning itself as a model public safety agency.
BSO is the largest public safety organization in the state of Florida, and the third largest in the United States. We serve a population of nearly two million residents, reflecting a diverse urban landscape. We protect our county’s critical infrastructure, including international airports, seaports and other major event venues that require high-level security measures.
The BSO International Public Safety Exchange Program fosters global collaboration by sharing best practices, operational strategies, and technological advancements with international partners. Through this immersive experience, participants gain new perspectives, strengthen leadership skills, and help build safer communities at home and abroad.

Who Can Participate?
- Sworn and civilian members of public safety agencies. This includes administrators, policy leaders, operational personnel, supervisors, trainers, and specialized unit members.
